The Ministry of Labor and Implementation is the oldest and an important ministry of the Government of India. There are more than 38 crore workers in the country. Which is more than 90% of the total employment of the country. Shouldn't they also have equal right to live like the organized sector? After many years of independence, the Ministry of Labor has started a new initiative. And the National Database of Unorganized Workers has created the e-shram portal. In which works for the interests, protection and welfare of the workers. It deals with how to improve the lives and everyday work of workers. Labor is the most important part of our country, because of them our country runs. Because of their working, we get everything on time. Such as vegetable sector, ration sector, construction sector, farmers etc.
Objective
Creation of a centralized database of all unorganized workers (UWs) including Construction Workers, Migrant Workers, Gig and Platform workers, Street Vendors, Domestic Workers, Agriculture Workers, etc., to be seeded with Aadhaar.
Sharing of information in respect of registered unorganised workers with various stakeholders such as Ministries/ Departments/ Boards/ Agencies/ Organisations of the Central & State Governments through APIs for delivery of various social security and welfare schemes being administered by them.
Providing a comprehensive database to Central and State Governments for tackling any National Crises like COVID-19 in future.

Who can apply
1. Any person (laborer), farmer etc. whose age is above 16 years and up to 59 years (04-04-1962 to 03-04-2006) can apply.
- 2. Any worker who is a home based-worker, self-employed worker or a wage worker in the unorganised sector including a worker in the organised sector who is not a member of ESIC or EPFO or not a Govt. employee is called an Unorganised Worker.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Applicant's age is above 19 and up to 59 years (04-04-1962 to 03-04-2006).
2. The applicant should not be a member of this institute of any kind. EPFO and ESIC.
3. Workers income tax is not paid.
4. Any specialist such as transient specialist, gig laborers, stage specialists, and MGNREGA working in an unorganized division.
How to register
To register please do the following information
1. First of all visit the e-shram portal: https://register.eshram.gov.in/#/user/self
2. Enter
Mobile Number
3. Click on Send OTP
4. Now fill the form with your compete details like name, age, mobile number
5. Upload the documents like PAN card, Aadhar card, Education certificate
6. Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
7. Your labor card is ready. Now take its original copy.

How To Check Receiving Money Status
1. Go to the message box of your mobile and see there
2. View your savings account which is entered in the passbook of the bank
